0830 Hours:  Guest pick up, brief introduction by driver/guide and departure from Nyeri/ Naromoru/Nanyuki hotel after breakfast. The drive is approximately 2-2.5 hours.

1030 Hours: Arrival at the Aberdare National Park, registration at the park entry gate. Upon clearance proceed on a game drive.

We will begin with the low lying dense forested ravines which provide a lush habitat for forest elephants, Cape buffalo, black rhinos, leopards, spotted hyena, olive baboons, warthogs, numerous ape species, zebra, bushbuck, reed buck amongst others. Rare sightings include Giant forest hog, golden cat, serval cat, African civet cat and the elusive melanistic leopard.

Then ascend to the bamboo forest inhabited by the rare eland and bongo antelopes. We later make our way to the alpine moorland which has unique flora.

1300 Hours: We head to the longest waterfalls in Kenya- Karuru Waterfalls (273m drop) and enjoy a picnic lunch. Under an ambience of spectacular vegetative landscapes, whispering waterfalls and a cacophony of squeaking monkeys and chirping birds.

1400 Hours: We advance on an afternoon game drive. Aside from wildlife, Aberdare National Park has over 290 documented bird species including the endangered Sharpe’s Lonclaw, Aberdare Cisticola, Abbott’s Starling, Jackson’s Widowbird, Jackson’s Francolin, Sparrow hawks, goshawks, eagles, sunbirds and plovers.

1700 Hours: We exit the park gate and drive back to Nyeri/ Naromoru/Nanyuki hotel.

1900 Hours: Arrive late evening and transfer you back to your hotel/ residence.
