Day 1: Nairobi- Samburu National Reserve

Client pick-up at 7:00am from an agreed venue in Nairobi and drive through the Central Kenya Highlands towards Samburu National Reserve.  The journey is approximately 7hrs.  On arrival and registration at the park gate, we proceed to the reserved lodge/ camp in time for lunch. Then proceed for an evening game drive as from 4:00pm until dusk. Return to lodge/camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2:  Exploring the Samburu Game Reserve

Today will be an extensive tour of the Samburu National Reserve, with 2 planned game drives i.e. morning and evening. The former will be at 10:00am to 1:00pm then return for lunch, the later will be from 4:00pm- 6:00pm. You may opt to take a cultural visit within the area and mingle with the Samburu tribe in their village communities.

The reserve is notably semi-arid, with savanna vegetation from clustered acacia trees and grass cover. The reserve’s main water source is the straddling Ewaso Ngiro River which is home to nile crocodiles and hippo with the many animals visiting to drink during the day. Common sightings include buffalo, leopard, lion, cheetah and other plains game not forgetting over 350 bird species. The reserve is renowned for its endemic game species Grevy’s zebra, Beisa Oryx, reticulated giraffe, Jackson hartebeest, gerenuk and the Somali ostrich.

Return to lodge/camp after sunset for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Samburu National Reserve – Buffalo Springs National Reserve

Have breakfast then check out from the lodge/camp and commence on a game drive towards Buffalo Springs National Park which borders the southern side of Ewaso Ngiro River. Buffalo Springs National Reserve, derives its name from the clear water that emanates from the natural spring even during the dry season. Arrive for check in and lunch at your lodge/camp.

Depart at 3:00pm for a late afternoon game drive with some Wildlife sightings of the park include, leopards, spotted hyenas and over 365 bird species such as Taita falcons, yellow billed horn bills, secretary birds and many others.

Arrive at your accommodation for Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Buffalo Springs National Reserve- Nairobi

On your final day, you will embark on an early morning game drive, return to the lodge/camp for breakfast. Later check out at 10:00 am and depart for Nairobi with a stopover at either Nanyuki or Naromoru Town for lunch. Arrive in Nairobi in the evening and drop off to your return destination or to an agreed venue in Nairobi.
